Kia ora, welcome to Rainbow Kids Childcare!
Rainbow Kids Childcare is a modern, purpose-built daycare centre located in central Hamilton. We are licensed for children aged from 0 to 5. We have five separate learning areas and 3 spacious outdoor playground areas. Rainbow Kids delivers a high quality care and learning daycare environment in a place that feels like a ‘home away from home’ for your child.
Rainbow Kids is a daycare that has a knowledgeable, nurturing teaching team with over 80% of our staff whom are fully qualified early childhood educators. Our daycare teachers are experienced and passionate educators who specialise in providing the best education and care for every child. Rainbow Kids offers five separate learning areas to cater for each child’s developmental level.

About Us
At Rainbow Kids, we provide a professional learning community where our tāmariki, Kaiako and whānau feel a strong attachment to our home away from home. This is guided by respectful teaching and learning practices, where we build trusting and responsive relationships in a safe environment, filled with aroha.
We believe tāmariki learn through exploration. Our Kaiako encourage child led learning and emphasise that play is a valued learning opportunity.
Opening hours; Monday – Friday 7am – 6pm, closed Saturday and Sunday. We are also closed on all public holidays and have shortened hours two weeks over the Christmas period
Parent Information
Minimum enrolment is 3 days per week. Nappies are provided as well as full meals – children do not need to bring food. An enrolment fee of $50 is required at the time of enrolment to secure your child’s space. Two weeks’ notice is required when terminating enrolment. A 10% discount is applicable to your eldest child’s fees if you have two or more children attending our daycare.

Rainbow Kids has a knowledgeable, nurturing teaching team with over 80% of our staff fully qualified early childhood educators. Our teachers are experienced and passionate educators who specialize in providing the best education and care for every child.
INDIVIDUAL NEEDS
Your child’s teachers will discuss their individual needs with you before they start and ask you to fill out our ‘Individual routine and All About Me’ forms. This will help the teachers to learn about your child’s routines and support their transition into the centre.
FULL MEALS PROVIDED
At Rainbow Kids we have a full-time experienced cook who creates delicious, healthy meals and snacks for our children. We provide morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack for all children. Please speak with the cook or your teachers about any food allergies your child may have.
SETTLING INTO RAINBOW KIDS
We believe the transition for children in to the centre is much easier when they are familiar with their new environment. We suggest that you visit with your child in the two weeks leading up to their first day so they have a chance to get to know their new teachers and environment. Visits prior to the first drop off will help your child settle easier.
